Mildred Forrest

Mrs. Mildred Bessie (Midge) Forrest, 83, of Corning, AR., passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Forrest was born in Pocahontas, AR., on November 18, 1935. She was retired from Johansen Brothers Shoe Company, Inc. and Carter Carburetor in Corning, AR. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, camping, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning, AR.

She married her husband of 66 years, Mr. Jack Forrest on October 27, 1952. He survives, other survivors include their children Bob Forrest and wife Linda of Jonesboro, AR., Donna and husband Mike Schott of Saint Louis, MO.; three brothers Millard Dillard and wife Wanda of Morehouse, MO., Bill Dillard and wife Darlene of Mountain Home, AR., Jerry Dillard and wife Jackie of High Ridge, MO.; one sister Ann Griffin of Corning, AR.; seven grandchildren Robert, Heather, Rodney, Brandy, Lacey, Kurt, and Sarah; nine great-grandchildren Alexis, Tyler, Everett, Oliver, Grace, Morgan, Michael, Jack, and Allie; and three great-great-grandchildren Levi, Paisley, and Brookland.

She was preceded in death by two sons Jackie Forrest, Timmy Forrest; one granddaughter Andrea Forrest; her parents Harley Franklin and Dollie Mae (Sneed) Dillard; three brothers James Dillard, Charles Dillard, Don Dillard; two sisters Ellen Jones and Helen Phelps.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Danny Self, Laverne Reed and Josh Carver officiating. Burial will follow the services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
