Mrs. Minnie Bishop, 90, of Corning, AR., formerly of North Little Rock, AR., passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Bishop was born in Biscoe, AR., on July 17, 1921. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She married her husband William “Bill” Bishop on May 22, 1937. He preceded her in death.
Her survivors include three daughters Caffie Chambers of Evansville, IN., Doris and husband Bill Wiedeman of Corning, AR., Judy Rio of North Little Rock, AR.; two sons James “Monty” Bishop of Duncan, OK., Johnny Bishop of North Little Rock, AR.; one sister Callie Hamilton of Biscoe, AR.; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Bill Bishop; parents John and Mittie Bell (Pegram) Stokes; four children Claude Bishop, Carl “Buddy” Bishop, Terry Bishop, Glenda Dandridge; three brothers Loyd, Carl, and Archie Stokes; one sister Addie Mae English.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, AR.
