Nancy Ahrent

Mrs. Nancy Lou Ahrent, 82, of Fayetteville, AR., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. Mrs. Ahrent was born in Reyno, AR., on November 11, 1934. She was retired from the Corning School District where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, quilting, spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Corning, AR.

She married her husband of 31 years Otto H. Ahrent on February 28, 1956 in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1987.

She is survived by her children Greg Ahrent and wife Rhonda of Corning, AR., Gary Ahrent and wife Donna of Bentonville, AR., Rob Ahrent of Fayetteville, AR., Karla and husband Rodney Johnson of Fayetteville, AR.; sister Pat and husband Bob Lockwood of Corning, AR.; seven grandchildren Brittany, Josh, Jessica, Kaysha, Gunner, Forrest, Rachel and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Leonard and Effie (Mulholland) Whitehead; brother Wesley Whitehead; sisters Kathryn Cavitt and Willena Hutchison.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Josh Raspberry officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
