Mrs. Nona Belle Banks, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Banks was born in Corning, AR., on May 28, 1924. She was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and staying on the river. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
She married her husband Sammie Banks on March 5, 1942. He survives. Other survivors include two sons Mike Banks of Corning, AR., Danny Banks of Pocahontas, AR.; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Blanch (Wertenberger) Magee; one son Sammy Banks, Jr.; three sisters and five brothers.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning with Reverend Carl Thomason officiating. Visitation will beld held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
