Nona Conway

Nona Conway, 81, of Knobel, AR., passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Arkansas Continued Care in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Conway was born February 9, 1942 in Knobel, AR. She worked as a C.N.A. at Corning Nursing Home until her retirement. Nona enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended Smith Chapel Church.

On July 17, 1959, she married George Conway. They recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. Other survivors include her sons Billy (Pauline) Conway of Great Falls, MT., and Tony (Jodi) Conway of Knobel, AR.; sisters Flossie Ashby of Neelyville, MO., Lois Foster of St. Louis, MO., five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents G.W. and Ellen (Dowdy) Green, brothers Howard, Dean, Bill, Jack and Buford Green, and sisters Mildred Green, Elva Wiseman, and Norma Mudget.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ernie Rinks officiating. Burial will follow the services at Bond Cemetery in Knobel, AR.
