Norma "Jean" Johnson

Norma Irene “Jean” Johnson, 91, of Corning, AR., passed away January 11, 2023 at home with her loving family around her. Mrs. Johnson was born October 28, 1931 in Reyno, AR. She was homemaker, she had work many years on the farm and at several other jobs. She loved reading her Bible, playing Solitaire and Dominoes, watching Reba on TV, taking car rides, talking about the old times, and loved spending time with family and her kitties. She was a member of Corning Church of Christ.

She married the love of her life Carl Vence Johnson on March 4, 1950, they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 27, 2006.

She is survived by her son Brock Johnson of Corning, AR.; three daughters Donna McDowell of Kennett MO., Joann Woods of Corning, AR., Mindie (Melvin) Mitchell of Corning, AR., three grandchildren Misty (Steve) Rhine, Adam Fox, and Brandy Stevens, a sister Betty Sue Woods and Betty's husband Chuck whom she loved dearly; and we cannot forget to mention her kitties, Baby and Pretty Boy.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents Clifford "Tip" and Minnie (Sanders) Dunn; one grandson Jesse Lucas March; and siblings Harold Dunn, Katherine Barclift, Colleen Fields, Harry Dunn, Jimmie Dunn, Jackie Dunn, Donnie Dunn, and special nephew Bill Waymon.

Visitation will be held Sunday January 15, 2023 at 1:00 in Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow services at Williams Cemetery, Corning, AR.
