Norma J. Keown

Ms. Norma Jean Keown, 65, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock, AR. Ms. Keown was born in Corning, AR., on October 28, 1947. She worked as a water office clerk for the City of Corning. She had also worked as a beautician and EMT. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and loved to shop. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors are daughter Ann Reed of Corning, AR.; uncle Bill York of Corning, AR.; cousins Linda and husband Ray Simpson of Jonesboro, AR., Lisa and husband Doin Bowers, Jr., of Paragould, AR., Julie and husband Robert Smothers of North Little Rock, AR., Jami and husband Bobby McGee of Lonoke, AR.; seven second cousins Cameron McGee, Emily McGee, Rachel McGee, Brooke Smothers, Lee Smothers, Trey Bowers and Byshea Bowers.

She was preceded in death by her mother Alneta Stubblefield; step-father L.T. “Bud” Stubblefield; two uncles Jewel York, Charles York; two aunts Adena York, Nellie York; two cousins Ryan Simpson and Rider Simpson.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Fry officiating. Burial will be at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
