Mr. Norman Herbert Hartwig, 80, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Hartwig was born in Corning, AR., on October 25, 1936. He was a farmer who enjoyed taking care of livestock. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp.
He is survived by his children Brian Hartwig and wife Becky of Corning, AR., Shonette Hartwig of Corning, AR.; brother Larry Hartwig of Success, AR.; three grandchildren Logan Hartwig, Caleb Hartwig, Dylan Hartwig; two step-grandchildren Jacqueline Christian and Jordan Zoll and one great-grandchild Lincoln Hartwig.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Norean (Phillips) Hartwig and his sister Wyona (Hartwig) Ainley.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Williams Cemetery in Corning, AR., with Frank Williams officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 1:00 PM until the procession leaves for the service in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers are Mark Ahrent, Tim Bauschlicher, Ray Vannoy, Joey Sellmeyer, Blake Johnson, and Billy Briney. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Couch and Randy Shelton.
