Norman "Pete" Watson

Mr. Norman "Pete" Watson, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Corning Therapy and Living Center, in Corning, AR. Mr. Watson was born in Crockett, AR., on September 30, 1925. He was a retired farmer and service station owner/operator. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

On October 30, 1944 he married his wife of 64 years Roberta Lee (Baker) Watson, she preceded him in death on November28, 2008.

He is survived by daughter-in-law Patty Watson-Scheer of Corning, AR.; two grandsons Chad Watson and wife Kelli of Corning, AR., Aaron Watson and wife Danna of Corning, AR.; one brother John Watson amd wife Lorane of Piggott, AR.; four sisters Neva Hopper of Piggott, AR., Myrtle and husband Bill Satterfield of Ferguson, MO., Shirley and husband Garland Satterfield of Saint Peters, MO., Shelba and husband Thavuis Lewis of O'Fallen, MO.; five great-grandchildren Chase, Kelsey, Kenlie, Hannah and Daniel Watson; special nephew Greg Watson of Franklin, TN.; care-giver Ann Story and many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Bert Lee, Sr. and Clara Belle (Allen) Watson; two sons Jim and David Watson; four brothers Ken, Bill, James and Bert Lee, Jr. Watson and one infant sister Eva Watson.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 18, at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Thavuis Lewis officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
