Mrs. Nova Sandor, 91, of Germantown, TN., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Gardens of Germantown in Germantown, TN. Mrs. Sandor was born in Pocahontas, AR., on September 14, 1922. She was a retired beautician and homemaker. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Church in Corning, AR.
She married her husband of forty-four years John J. Sandor on October 6, 1951 in Pocahontas, AR., he preceded her in death on January 23, 1996.
She is survived by her son John J. Sandor Jr., and wife Susan of Germantown, TN.; her daughter Mary Ann and husband Curtis King of Boaz, AL.; and sister Myrtle Brownfiel of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents William and Axie Pearl (Odom) Jackson; daughter Paula Sandor; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Saint Joseph the Worker Church in Corning, AR. Burial will follow the services in the Corning, Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, where daughter Paula received such wonderful care as a patient.
