Omagene Knotts

Mrs.Omagene Knotts, 80, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday August 2, 2010 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, AR. Mrs. Knotts was born in Datto, AR., She was a retired sales associate for Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and J. C. Penney’s. After marriage, she raised her children in Wisconsin, then moved to Texas, and later came home to Corning. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

She married her husband Robert E. Lee Knotts on October 28, 1950, he survives. Other survivors include one son Robert Alan Knotts and wife Nancy of Frisco, TX.; one daughter Pamela and husband Lynn Salmi of Shakopee, MN.; four sisters Irene Parker of Yellville, AR., Paulette Hayes of Datto, AR., Judy and husband James Miller of Corning, AR., Sharon and husband David Brown of Bella Vista, AR.; grandsons Jason and Nic Knotts, Dillon and Lucas Salmi,; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Jesse and Alma (Nash) Hayes,; two sons Stephen Wayne and Keith Knotts,; five brothers Homer, Jesse Carl, Howard, Carrell, and Lonnie Hayes,; and one sister Gertrude Rhea.

Funeral service will be Thursday, Augaust 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
