Mrs. Opal Lorene Johnson, 96, of Arnold, MO., passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at The Woodlands in Arnold, MO. Mrs. Johnson was born in Ellsinore, MO., on January 3, 1919. She was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist faith.
She married her husband of 51 years Ivoury Johnson on September 24, 1938. He preceded her in death February 21, 1990.
She is survived by two sons William Johnson of Crystal City, MO., Scott Johnson of Arnold, MO.; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents John and Dollie (Carnahan) Edington; three daughters Gilda Pinkley, Doris Gibbar, Sondra Georgevich; five brothers John Edington, Orville Edington, Omer Edington, Jake Edington, Woodrow Edington; three sisters Inez Morrow, Jewell Morrow, and Jessie Robinson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Old Freewill Baptist Church in Reyno, AR., with Pastor Jed Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery in Reyno. Visitation will be held at Ermert Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. An additional visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the church from 11:)) AM until the time of service.
