Mrs. Opal Ora Yeary, 98, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Yeary was born in Mammoth Springs, AR., on May 28, 1919. She was a former C.N.A. who enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, crocheting, and word search puzzles. She was a member of House of Prayer in Corning, AR.
She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Ruth and husband Ross Godbey of Sunrise, FL.; her brother Vernon Arnold of Williford, AR.; a sister Yvonne Hamby of Davenport, IA.; nine grandchildren Brian Yeary, Crystal Nesbit, Mike Finley and wife Casey, Ray Finley, Kelly and husband Jay Smith, Melissa and husband Stanley Elswick, John Godbey, David Godbey and wife Jennifer, Bobby Godbey and wife Elicia; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Jesse Yeary, Jr.; two daughters Mary Lois Yeary and Vivian Yeary; her parents George and Bessie (Rogers) Arnold; her first love Jess Yeary and special friend Maizel Baxley.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
