Orville Eugene Nichols

Mr. Orville Eugene "Gene" Nichols, 80, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Nichols was born in Sikeston, MO., he was a retired farm-hand, he enjoyed sitting on his porch in his rocking chair, visiting with family and friends.

He married his wife Madeline (Elliott) Nichols on November 29, 1960, she survives. Other survivors include daughter Vickie Nichols of Corning, AR.; sister-in-law Earline Darr of Paragould, AR.; nephew Rondall Darr of Batesville, AR.; many dear friends Evelyn, Brenda and Nancy Morrison, Jim and Tami Carner, Russell and Vicki Adams, Matt and Freda Adams, Danny and Sharon Byars, Lonnie and Wendy Higgs, Mrs. Lucille Higgs, Bob Leach, Jeffery Byars, Dave Mohl, Drake Boatman and the staffs of Corning Home Health and Corning Therapy and Living.

Funeral services wil be conducted Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitaion will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
