Ms. Patricia “Patty” Mulligan Jones, 61, of Corning, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Ottenheimer Inpatient Center at CHI Saint Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ms. Jones was born in Kankakee, Illinios, on August 23, 1953. She was a private music teacher, a free-lance writer and missionary. In 1975, she earned a BSE in English from Arkansas State University; she also received a BS in Missions from Trevecca Nazarene University. She ministered world-wide on-line at www.prairieparson.com where she made herself available to just listen, always to pray and sometimes to counsel with all whom would share their needs. She was a prolific writer and was often a guest columnist for Traditions Magazine. She was a member of the Corning Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her daughter Dr. Vinessa Kaye Trotter of Murray, Utah.; two aunts June Hamilton of Corning, Arkansas, and Lessie Robins of Advance, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Lawrence and Virgie Lee (McIntosh) Mulligan.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Peter Connolly, D.D. officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
