Paul Turner

August 29, 1930 — May 7, 2011

Mr. Paul Turner, 80, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Turner was born in Mobly, AR., He was a retired Meat Cutter. He proudly served his country as a member of the United Staes Air Force. He enjoyed riding horses and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR.

He married his wife Effie (Brewer) Turner on April 10, 1955. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter Janet and her husband Billy Allen of Corning, AR.; one brother
Glenn Turner of Dixon, MO.: two sisters Helen Gay of Jonesboro, AR., Janie Jarrett of Batesville, AR.; four grandchildren Amy and her husband Jeremy Earley, Misty Glasgow, Matt Allen and his wife Chelsea, P.J. Williams and his wife Jennifer; two great-grandchildren Chandler Conyers and Avery Glasgow.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olas and Annie Mae (Lackey) Turner; one daughter Teresa Woods; and one brother Wayne Turner.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Mike Book and Doug Burch officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hitt Cemetery near Success, AR. Public visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Memorial may be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.
