Peggy Davis

Peggy Joyce Davis, 82, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning. Mrs. Davis was born October 4, 1941. She was an auctioneer’s wife and assisted with the many facets of the auction business. She was fond of gardening, yard work, watching western movies and crime dramas. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Peggy enjoyed attending church and most recently, attended First Christian Church in Corning.

On December 23, 1961, she married Billy Leroy Davis. They were married 57 years prior to his death on July 10, 2019.

Survivors include her children Randy (Angie) Goodman of Corning, AR., Billy Davis of Little Rock, AR., Karen Davis of Little Rock, AR., and Joyce (Steven) Lane of Corning, AR.; brother Gene Goodman of Corning, AR.; sister Linda Brewer of Barnhart, MO.; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Herman Goodman and Lola (Alexander) Walls, and sisters Louise McGowan and Dianna Sue Nations.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services in the  Corning Cemetery.
