Mrs. Peggy Hancock, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Hancock was born on January 17, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. She was a retired factory worker and beautician. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and visiting with family and friends, she was Methodist in faith.
She married her husband Edward Hancock on December 6, 1974. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters Angela Walls of Cabot, AR., Amber Nicole “Niki” Herren of Corning, AR.; one brother Jerry Cox of Neelyville, MO.; two sisters Joan Talbott of Neelyville, MO., Kathy Cox of Corning, AR.; five grandchildren Jared and Megan Walls, Monte, Clay and Dakota Herren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Ferguson and Mary Lucille (Wills) Cox; daughter Kimberly Dawn Laughlin; and brother John Cox, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Public visitation will be held Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
