Peggy Patterson

Mrs. Peggy Jane (Blaylock) Patterson passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 in Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Peggy was born in Corning, Arkansas on January 8, 1933. She was the daughter of Raymond and Ellen (Smith) Blaylock, both of whom preceded her in death.

Peggy married her best friend and the love of her life Charles A. Patterson on December 28, 1952.

Survivors include her husband Charles; one daughter Debbie and husband Doug Adams of Fisk, Missouri; two sons Ron Patterson and wife Wanda of Corning, Arkansas, Steve Patterson and wife Stephanie of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one brother Billy Blaylock of Corning, Arkansas; seven grandchildren Sherri Hester, Shelli Putnam, Christina Swint, Angela Duncan, Matthew, Joshua and Hannah Patterson; six great-grandchildren Catey, Abbey and Jake Hester, Hunner and John Ethan Swint, and Griffin Putnam; plus many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peggy was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She retired from Poplar Bluff School District after teaching elementary school in both Arkansas and Missouri for thirty-six years.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Steve Patterson and Carl Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, Arkansas. Public visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
