Mr. Perry Franklin “Buddy” Durbin, Sr., 72, of Knobel, AR., passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Durbin was born in Pocahontas, AR., on August 5, 1945. He was a farmer. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, woodworking, arrowhead collecting and being with his grandchildren. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam.
He married his wife of 22 years Mrs. Ruth (Kissane) Durbin on March 15, 1995. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2017.
He is survived by his three children Tama Page of Mountainburg, AR., Dianne Shepard of Lake City, AR., Perry Durbin, Jr. of Knobel, AR.; four step-children Sarah Sowa of Alabama, William Storey of Potosi, MO., Kara Whitaker of Corning, AR., Juanita Stout of Naylor, MO.; two brothers T.C. Durbin, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI., Robert Durbin of Pocahontas, AR.; two sisters Ellen Stafford of Pocahontas, AR., Ida Mae Kenner of Rockford, IL.; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Timothy Clinton Durbin, Sr., and Mary Alice (Dobbs) Durbin; two brothers Gene Durbin and James Durbin.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Waylen Page and Jamey Bland officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
