Pete Liles

Mr. Hermon “Pete” Liles Jr., 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Liles was born in Kennett, MO., on September 12, 1932. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He married his wife of 60 years Mrs. Lucille (Costephens) Liles on August 25, 1957. She survives, other survivors include his sons Delane Liles and wife Missy of Corning, AR., David Liles of Trumann, AR.; grandson Jason Liles and wife Emily Liles of Corning, AR; great-granddaughter Emercyn; sisters-in-law Stella Liles of Kennett, MO., Shirley Costephens of Malden, MO.; several nephews, nieces and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hermon Walter and Anna Marie (Arbuckle) Liles, sister Flora Faye Wyatt and her husband Danny, and brother Johnny Liles.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Herbie Holsapple officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers are Ed Alexander, Kenny Payne, Phil Payne, Ed Rounds, Hunter Cole, and Doug Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Kirby, Rex Watson, Don Miller, Bob Chapman, Marion Payne, and Phillip Short.
