Mr. Peter Joseph “Pete” Engel, 87 of Peach Orchard, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at home. Mr. Engel was a self employed car dealer and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Corning, AR.
He married his wife Joyce (Hobbs) Engel on June 7, 1957 she survives. other survivors include two sons Larry Engel of Corning, AR., Alan Engel and wife Dawn of Ravenden, AR.; four daughters Rosemary and husband Rick Townsend of Jonesboro, AR., Joe Ann and husband Wayne Bradley of Imboden, AR., Gail and husband Tony Jones of Pocahontas, AR., Lori and husband Kevin Kercheval of Bono, AR.; two brothers Bill Engel of Dunedin, FL., Fred Engel of Homasassa Springs, FL.; three sisters Marie Gish of Wentzville, MO., Rita Siefert of Jonesboro, AR. Ann Engel of Peach Orchard, AR.; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob M. and Rosemary (Kirchner) Engel, and brothers Nick and Louis Engel.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Corning, AR. with Father Michael Sinkler officiating. Burial will follow the service in Saint Bernard Cemetery, Knobel, AR. Rosary services Monday, May 3, 2010 at 5:30 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, public visitation will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
