Ralph Arnold Steele

Mr. Ralph Arnold Steele, 80, of Paragould, AR., passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Steel was born June 25, 1937 to Ernest Arnold and Neta Marie (Owen) Steele in Peach Orchard, AR. He attended Peach Orchard and Delaplaine Schools, he worked for Darling Store Fixtures for 31 1/2 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Peach Orchard, and after moving to Paragould in March 2013, he joined the Paragould Church of God. He was also a member of the Peach Orchard Masonic Lodge since 1960.

On May 6, 1958, he married his wife of 59 years Mrs. Wilma Joyce (Mitchell) Steele. To this union, three children were born Shelly Elaine Putt, Sherry Elizabeth Steele, and Terry Arnold Steele.

In addition to his wife and their children, Shelly and Terry, he is also survived by his oldest daughter Donna Jo Steele; eight grandchildren Rachel Roberts, Addyson Putt, Teri Elaine Nelson, Nicholas Eric Steele, Collin, Ross, Mila Kaye and Mason Steele; three great-grandchildren Reagon Nelson, Tailey and Jailey Steele; cousin Mary Ellen Sneed; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Elizabeth; brother Clyde Steele; sister Kathy Harrison; and grandson Zachery Roberts.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Brenda Kay McKinney officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
