Mr. Raymond Cleman Smith, 89, of Saint Louis, MO., passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at home. Mr. Smith was born in Datto, AR. He was a retired farmer and electrician, he was a member the Electrical Union, local 1 of Saint Louis. He served as a member of the United States Army during World War II.
He married his wife Berniece (Garrett) Smith on April 9, 2007 in Paragould, AR. She survives. Other suvivors include two daughters Mary Jane Logan of Park Hills, MO., Theda Ray Delaney of High Ridge, MO.; three sisters Earlene Myer of Saint Louis, MO., Aretta Hampton of Green Forrest, MO., Bonnie Ruth Gibson of Saint Louis, MO.; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Nellie (Chadwick) Smith; his first wife Theda Pauline Smith on November 17, 1991 and one grandson Michael Teasley.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Public visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
