Mr. Rex Fitzgerald, 78, of Biggers, AR., passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Fitzgerald was born in Knobel, AR., on August 17, 1936. He was a well driller and carpenter who enjoyed golf and playing pool. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married his wife Georgia Fitzgerald on August 20, 1977. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2005.
He is survived by four children Vance Fitzgerald of Jackson, MS., Jeff Fitzgerald of Springhill, FL., Pat Fitzgerald of Paragould, AR., Derik Fitzgerald of Pocahontas, AR.; three step-children Ferrell Tedder of Rockford, IL., Jeff Tedder of Biggers, AR., Janet Dodson of Saint Louis, MO.; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents Clarence and Lena (Burns) Fitzgerald; one sister Rita Pennington; five brothers Vaughn Fitzgerald, Gene Fitzgerald, Duey Fitzgerald, Donnie Fitzgerald and Nyal Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kent Modlin officiating. Burial at Cummings Chapel Cemetery near Piggott, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
