Rita Bibb

Mrs. Rita Loretta Bibb, 93, of Webb City, MO., passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, MO. Mrs. Bibb was born in Batesville, AR., on January 26, 1925. She grew up in Corning, AR., and attended school here. She was a retired cook who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and writing letters to friends and family. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and of the Church of Christ faith.

She married her husband of 33 years Mr. Thomas Richard Bibb, Sr., on August 21, 1943. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1977.

Survivors include her son Thomas Bibb and wife Vicki of Webb City, MO.; sister Adelaide and husband Jerry Brumbaugh of Germantown, TN.; four grandchildren Stephanie and husband Isaac Flint, Kristin and husband Brian Stork, Joe Lilli and wife Karina, Mike Lilli; four great-grandchildren Caitlyn, Emmy, Chase and Jax.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Clarence Albert and Virgie Corona (Bales) Danner; children Rita Lilli, Linda Bibb, Larry Bibb and sister Margaret Shaver.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Steven Null officiating. Burial will follow the service at Black Cemetery near Success, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
