Mrs. Rita Faye (King) Sweaney, 59, of Knobel, AR., passed away Thuesday, December 22, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Sweaney was born in Walnut Ridge, AR., on September 3, 1957. She was an instructor for Hair Tech and Blackwood Beauty Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and playing cards. She was a member of New Life Family Church, Knobel, AR.
She married her husband Dean Sweaney on November 4, 2006. He survives, other survivors are three daughters Tina and husband Derwin Stormes of Knobel, AR., Tera and husband Brad Lewis of Knobel, AR., Janey and husband Chad Stormes of Knobel, AR.; one son Garry Rice and wife Erin of Paragould, AR.; her mother Mattie Faye (Maynard) King of Lafe, AR.; four siblings Ronnie King and wife Lana King of Corning, AR., Don King and wife Letia of Brookland, AR., Ellen Booth of Beech Grove, AR., Thomas King and wife Kim of Lafe, AR.; two step-children Jeromy Sweaney and wife Gena Kay of Corning, AR., Jamie Sweaney of Paragould, AR., and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father Elvin King; father-in-law J.D. Sweaney; mother-in-law Missy Sweaney; and first husband Garry Rice.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 12:00 PM in Hosea Cemetery near Knobel, AR., with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 23, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
