Robert "Bob" Brake

Mr. Robert Virgle “Bob” Brake, 75, of Bonne Terre, MO., passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Saint Anthony’s Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. Mr. Brake was born in Neelyville, MO., on September 27, 1938. He was a retired shipping deparment. foreman at Southwest Steel. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and traveling.

He married his wife of 55 years Mrs. Thelma Loretta (Prince) Brake on October 19, 1958 in Poplar Bluff, she survives. Other survivors include his daughter Barbara and husband Doug Rowold of Imperial, MO.; his son Robert Brake, Jr. of Bonne Terre, MO.; his sister Roseann and husband Bob Newcomb of Harviell, MO.; three grandsons Tommy Bub and wife Brittany of St. Louis, MO., Robert Brake and wife Sarah of Bismark, MO., Sean Brake of Bonne Terre, MO.; four great-granddaughters Alyssa Brake, Brianna Bub, Lola Brake, Addie Bub; one great-grandson Lane Blake; many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parent Johnny Virgle and Helen Bell (Dollins) Brake; and one great-grandaughter Elena Bub.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
