Robert Lee Bridges

Robert Lee “R.L.” Bridges, 73, of Pocahontas passed away January 13, 2020 at Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Mr. Bridges was retired from Arkansas State University. He loved Gospel music, especially The Tiptons, and playing drums at church. He attended Trinity Fellowship Church in Pocahontas.

Survivors include his ex-wife and caretaker Jan Bridges of Pocahontas; step-children Denny Riney and Terry Riney, both of Pocahontas, Rhonda Browen of Memphis, TN; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lennie (Williams) Bridges and sister Mona Rae Bridges.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 P.M. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Charles Midget and Rev. Ed Gregory officiating. Burial will be at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard.
