Robert "Bob" O. Carter, Sr.

Mr. Robert "Bob" Odell Carter, Sr., 76, of Pollard, AR., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, AR. Mr. Carter was born in Pollard, AR., on October 30, 1936. Mr. Carter was a retired refrigeration assembly worker for Hussman Corporation in Dumas, AR. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married his wife Shirley (Sedrick) Carter on January 23, 1960. She survives. Other survivors include four daughters Theresa Simpson of Saint Louis, MO., Janet and husband Chris Collier of Saint Louis, MO., Debbie Carter of House Springs, MO., Nicole Wilson of Little Rock, AR.; one daughter-in-law Jamie Carter of Dumas, AR.; three sisters Venga Radcliff of Arnold, MO., Ann Ham of Saint Charles, MO., Dorothy Wurth of Cedar Hill, MO.; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arby Odell and Ruby May (Carter) Carter; two sons David Carter, Robert Carter, Jr. and one brother William Carter.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Donnie Fenton officiating. Burial will follow the services at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
