It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert L. Russell, Sr., who departed this life at the age of 78 on January 9, 2026, at Baptist East in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born on February 25, 1947, in Knobel, Arkansas, Robert dedicated much of his life to farming at Fox Farms. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as playing pool and cards, hunting, and making lasting memories with friends and family.

On March 6, 1969, he married Linda Russell, the love of his life, with whom he joyfully shared 56 years of marriage. Together they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter.

Robert leaves behind a devoted family, including his children: Theresa (Michael) Moore of Paragould, Arkansas; Lisa (Tom) Colbert of Corning, Arkansas; Jenny (Randy) Floyd of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; Sabrina (Jerry) Davis of Reyno, Arkansas; Kevin (Stephany) Russell of Leachville, Arkansas; and Robert (April) Russell, Jr. He is also survived by his siblings Lou Hilburn, Joe (Brenda) Russell, Raymond Russell, Margaret (Clay) Hardin, Lorene Newman, Jimmie Russell, and Bernice Russell, along with 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry his memory forward.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Dora Russell, as well as his brothers Melvin, Frankie, Charles, and Johnny Russell.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Robert’s spirit and legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
