Robert Welty

Mr. Robert Earl Welty, 82, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Welty was born in McDougal, AR., on September 7, 1933. He was a retired farmer. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a Shriner and member of Masonic Lodge # 545 in Piggott, AR. He was of the Baptist faith.

He married his wife of 44 years Mrs. Linda Louise (Cate) Welty on January 30, 1972. She survives, he is also survived by his sister Betty Sue Cate of Ravenden Springs, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents Finis and Martha (Young) Welty; and his son Steve Welty.

Funeral services to include Masonic Rites will be conducted Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cate officiating. Burial will follow the service with Military Honors at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be conducted Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
