Roger Powell

Mr. Roger Dale Powell, 68, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Saint Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Powell was born in Paragould, AR., on Novemeber 5, 1943. He was a retired sawmill operator. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by eleven brothers Charles Powell of Poplar Bluff, MO., Lester Powell of Newport, AR., Jerry Powell of Wickliffe, KY., Homer Powell of West Plains, MO., Tommy Powell of Morehouse, MO., Jack Powell of Corning, AR., Perry Powell of Chicago, IL., Frankie Powell of Tennessee, Darrell Powell of Joppa, IL., Donnie Powell of Metropolis, IL., Harold Powell of Metropolis, IL.; three sisters Sue Ann Powell of Doniphan, MO., Hazel Powell of Perch, IL., Sharon Powell of Steele, MO.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Odis and Eula Mae (Layton) Powell; one brother Paul Powell; two sisters Paula Powell and Merle Powell.

Graveside funeral servoces will be conducted Friday, April 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Corning Cemetery with Reverend Ron Elston officiating. Public visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until time of service in the Ermert Funeral Home.
