Mr. Ronald Dean Catt, 75, of Corning, AR., passed away surrounded by his family Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Catt was born in Knobel, AR., on February 8, 1939. He was a graduate of Knobel High School. He was a rice and soybean farmer, he also raised cattle. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, AR.
He married his wife of 53 years Mrs. Judy Carol (Garver) Catt on June 30, 1961. She survives, other survivors are one daughter Rhonda McKinney of Corning, AR.; two sons Jerry Catt of Corning, AR., Tim Catt of Corning, AR.; eight grandchildren Trent McKinney and wife Jessica of Corning, AR., Scotty Catt and wife Amy of Paragould, AR., Ashlee and husband David Gill of Jonesboro, AR., Colby Catt of Knobel, AR., Samantha and husband Aaron Young of Corning, AR., Caleb Catt of Piggott, AR., Travis McKinney of Corning, AR., Lynzi Catt of Knobel, AR.; three great-grandchildren Bailey Catt, Cooper Gill, Kade McKinney; five sisters Betty and husband Marron Archer of Boydsville, AR., Doris Bell of Heber Springs, AR., Shirley and husband William Flowers of Heber Springs, AR., Garonda Stevens of Corning, AR., Dena and husband Bobby Dodd of Corning, AR.; four brothers Jack Catt and wife Doris of Knoxville, TN., Larry Catt and wife Shirley of Corning, AR., Roger Catt of Imperial, MO., Gary Catt of Arnold, MO.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dale Logan and Hazel (Hancock) Catt; two brothers-in-law Eugene Bell, Bob Stevens and a son-in-law Lonnie McKinney.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kent Modlin officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Flo & Phil Hospice House c/o St. Bernard’s Development Foundation, Inc. 400 East Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401 or to the Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould, AR 72450.
