Ronald Cecil Small

Ronald Cecil Small, was born on April 6, 1951, to Charlie and Christine Small in Rockford, IL. He joined the United States Marine Corp in August 1969. He served in the Vietnam War, then spent years in the Army. But anyone who knew Ronnie knows he was a Marine till the end, Semper Fi.

On August 18, 1984, Ronnie married the love of his life Sherrie, they continued to grow their family with their daughter Cynthia, and sons Trampas and Cody. Ronnie loved his family, and he loved the Lord. He was a real-life cowboy and avid outdoors man. He taught his kids what hard work and providing for your family means. Ronnie was always willing to help whoever needed it.

He passed away on March 17, 2023, at the John J Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Christine Small, mother-in-law Mary Hearren, and a grandson Tanner Stull.

He is survived by his wife Sherrie of the home, daughter Cynthia (Charles) Stull of Monette, AR., sons Trampas (Felisha) Small of Corning, AR., Cody Small of Corning, AR. Ronnie had a total of seven grandchildren: Cerenidy Small, Trampas Small, Jr. "TJ", Cheyann Small, Carson Carroll, Elizabeth "Izzy" Stull, Shaylynn Stull and Matthew Stull. three great-grandchildren:  Keaton, Theo, and Ezra Alonzo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services at Hosea Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
