Mrs. Rosa Bell Green, 83, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at her son’s home in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Green was born in Kennett, MO., she was a retired sales associate for Wal-Mart and assembly worker for the shoe factory. She enjoyed gardening, walking, mowing the yard, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
She married her husband William “Bud” Vernon Green in Success, AR., on November 29, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1995.
She is Survived by five sons Lonnie Green of Corning, AR., Larry Green of Corning, AR., Terry Green of Austin, TX., Stephen Green of Jonesboro, AR., Michael Green of Little Rock, AR.; three daughters Darlene McConnell of Arlington, TX., Doris Hellyer of Monument, CO., Sharon Groves of Clarimore, OK.; one brother James Colton Willard; two sisters Laverne and Mary Ann; 19 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lois (Mitchell) Willard; husband Bud Green; one son William Herschell Green; one daughter Mildred Green; and two brothers J. D. and Leo Willard.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carl Thomason officiating. Burial will follow the service at Williams Cemetery in Corning, AR. Public visitation will be Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
