Rose Fox, 75, of Knobel, passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of the place she loved and the memories she made there.
Born July 23, 1951, in Stonewall, Rose spent her life caring deeply for the people around her. She was retired from Darling Store Fixtures, but her greatest work and deepest joy came from being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was at the heart of Rose's life, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved.
Rose enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially reading and making memories with her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith. To those who knew and loved her, Rose will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the special place she held in the lives of her family.
On March 10, 1972, Rose married the love of her life, Joseph Fox. Their marriage was a testament to a lifetime of love and companionship. The couple celebrated 53 years together before Joseph passed away on January 23, 2026. Though their time together on earth has come to an end, the love they shared remains a cherished part of Rose's family story.
Rose leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts, including her children, Scott Fox and Mona Coe, both of Knobel, and Toni Ray of Stamps, Arkansas; siblings, Charlie Ray of Sioux City, Iowa, and Clay Ray and Lola Ray, both of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Fox; sons, Michael Fox and Robert Fox; and Bill and Estaleen (Brown) Ray; brothers Earnest, Taylor and Wade Ray; and sisters Geardean Choate and Pauline Payne.
Though Rose will be deeply missed, her greatest legacy will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the many memories she leaves behind. Her life was measured not simply in years, but in the love she shared, the family she cherished, and the lives she touched.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home with Bro. Dave White officiating. Burial will be at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel.
