Mr. Ross Hancock, 76, of Rector, AR., passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Saint Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Hancock was born in Knobel, AR., on January 2, 1937. He was a Farmer, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was of the Protestant Faith.
He married his wife of 43 years Bessie Faye (Gould) Hancock on August 19, 1968. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2012.
He is survived by two sons Johnny Ray Lucas of Pocahontas, AR., Billy Lucas of Paragould, AR.; two sisters Lucille Thomas of Hot Springs Village, AR., Ella Bell of Heber Springs, AR.; one brother Ray Gene Hancock of Albany, OR.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Charlie Harrison and Ethel Pearl (Morris) Hancock; three brothers Raymond Hancock, Russell Hancock, Robert Hancock; three sisters Ruth Hancock, Hazel Catt and Mary Stacy.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Meadors officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
