Ruby Cochran

Mrs. Ruby Maxine Cochran, 88, of Barnhart, MO., passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Saint Anthony's Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. Mrs. Cochran was born in Black Oak, AR., she was a retired bookkeeper for Clay County Electric Cooperative, she was a member of the Arnold Church of Christ.

She married her husband D.L. Cochran on October 25, 1941. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1997.

She is survived by two daughters Sherian and husband Jim Panagos of Barnhart, MO., Cathy and husband Barney Johnson of Barnhart, MO.; four grandchildren Shay Schwantner, Jim Panagos and wife Sara, Nikki and husband Darren Kaufmann, Chris Johnson and wife April; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Lacey Earl and Mamie Lee (Spradlin) Gipson; brother G.E. Gipson and sister Velma Lee McFarlin.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
