Mrs. Ruby Helen Hays, 100, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at home. Mrs. Hays was born in Corning, AR., on October 18, 1911. She was an assembler at Basler Electric Company and also worked at the Corning Nursing Home. She enjoyed crotcheting and gardening flowers. She was a long-time member of the House of Prayer in Corning.
She married her husband Elvin Jack Hays on November 4, 1931. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1991.
She is survived by three sons Elvin Hays and wife Melveda of Corning, AR., Charley Hays and wife Jewell of Cold Water, MO., Mousie Hays and wife Sue of Corning, AR.; two daughters Louise and husband Leon Graddy of Center, TX., Kathleen Barnes of Fredericktown, MO.; one brother Leonard Williamson of Ellington, MO.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents Willard P. and Allie (Hart) Williamson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Public visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
