Ruby Leonard

Mrs. Ruby Sadie (Evans) Wilkerson, Jones, Leonard, 96, of Corning, AR., passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at home, surrounded with family. Ruby was born the daughter of James Arthur and Lottie Anne (Tibbs) Evans on April 4, 1922 in Randolph County, Arkansas. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother to her family. She treasured the times when she could cook for family as they gathered at her home. She was also a dedicated Christian attending church her entire life.

On June 30, 1939, she was united in marriage to Hanford Dow Wilkerson who preceded her in death on December 22, 1957. On January 4, 1962 she married Charles Miller Jones who preceded her in death on August 16, 1994. On September 27, 1995 she married Marvin Leonard, who also preceded her in death on June 16, 2001.

Ruby is survived by children Dow Wilkerson and wife Carol of Thayer, MO., Sherman Wilkerson and wife Phyllis of Bowling Green, KY., Arnold Wilkerson and wife Debbie of Walnut Grove, MO., Sandra and husband Alan Young of Corning, AR., George Jones and wife Sandy of Lincoln, MO., Jim Jones of Lincoln, MO., Rick Jones and wife Renee of Batesville, AR., Larry Leonard and wife Tina of Corning, AR., Paula and husband Bill Ennis of Jonesboro, AR.; sisters Zada Harris, Janice Ritchey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Rufus Evans, Clarence Evans, and Hosea Evans; sisters Mabel Craig, Orba Jacobs, Delia Bryant, Cecilia Earhardt, and Bertha Eddington; son Darrell Jones; daughter Peggy Littrell; and grandson Jimmie Jones.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery in Myrtle, MO., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Wilkerson, Chris Wilkerson, Josh Roberts, Brett Jones, Jason Young and Tim Wolleson.
