Russell Anders

Mr. Russell Anders, 66, of Newark passed away February 19, 2022 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Mr. Anders was born December 28, 1955 in Annapolis, MD. He worked many years for Farm Service in Knobel and Lynn. He had many hobbies including woodworking, attending car shows, interest in antique cars, working his mini farm, caring for his animals, tinkering, and fixing things. He loved spending time with friends and family and was of the Baptist faith.

On August 23, 1973, he married Brenda Stephens who survives. They celebrated their 48 ^th anniversary last year. Other survivors include their children Michael (Krista) Anders of Belvidere, IL and Brittney Anders of Paragould; brothers Wayne and Rick Anders, both of Rockford, IL and Jeff Anders of WA; granddaughter Bella Newkirk whom he was raising and other grandchildren Stephen Newkirk, Kiara and Lindsay Anders; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Nichole Newkirk and parents Albert Anders and Nell (McFaddin) Gifford.

Visitation will be Saturday February 26, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating.
