Ruth Boyd, aged 87, of Corning, passed away on February 6, 2026, at the Corning Therapy and Living Center.

Born on August 2, 1938, in Walnut Corner, Arkansas. Ruth was a dedicated caregiver who devoted her life to the well-being of others. Her compassion and nurturing spirit were evident in all her relationships, especially those with her family and friends. Ruth was also a loyal member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, where she found strength and community.

On May 31, 1968, she united in marriage with Darl Boyd, who sadly preceded her in death on May 2, 1989. Ruth was a loving mother and is now reunited with her sons, Duane Boyd, Myles Brown, and Jimmy Boyd; her daughter, Vickie Corcoran; her parents, Austin and Rose (Neal) Boyd; her brothers, Verlin, Vertis, and Gene Kemp; and her sisters, June McBride, Patricia Baley, Glenave Walker, and Wanda Lendermin.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Goldie Garrett of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Julie Chandler of Bald Knob; Gunelda Storey of Pocahontas; Kathy Peterson of Datto; Kenneth Brown of Reyno; Mark Brown of Marmaduke; and Anita Mosher of Corning; along with her sister, Clesta Douglas of Granite City, Illinois. Ruth is also survived by several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, followed by the funeral service ar 12:00 noon officiated by Rev. Kevin Simmons. Ruth will be laid to rest at Piggott Cemetery.

Her kindness, love, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
