Sadie Hoke

Mrs. Sadie Mae Starns Ricker Hoke, 87, of Conway, AR., passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Heritage Living Center where she had been a resident since January 2016. Mrs. Hoke was born in Peach Orchard, AR., on January 4, 1932. She was an avid family historian, she worked on her family genealogy for over 30 years.

She is survived by her children David Ricker (Carol) of Conway, AR., Cynthia Wynnette Ricker Carpenter Wedding (Jim) of Hawesville, KY., Stanley Ricker (Sue, Trey and Hazel) of Goldsboro, NC., Michael Ricker of Goldsboro, NC.; grandchildren Misty Ricker Balinsat (Ben), Mark Ricker, Charity Carpenter Gromman, Cody Wedding (Stephanie), Tara Ricker, Holly Ricker, Jamie Ricker Edwards (David) and step-grandchildren Eddie Wedding (Lori), Lisa Wedding Stallings, Dawn Deal Sutton, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Richard "Dick" Hoke; son William "Rick" Ricker; parents Louis and Cynthia (Adams) Starns; brothers James Starnes, John Starns: two half-brothers, Charles Starnes, Winfrow Starns; sisters Mavis Starns Parsons, Barbara Starns Smith Boshears; half-sisters Opal Starns, Ruby Starns, Lucille Starns Hampton, Marie Starns Davis; grandson Douglas "DJ" Carpenter and great-grandson Roman Grulke.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jed Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
