Mrs. Sally Ann Checkett, 65, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Checkett was born in Datto, AR., on August 25, 1949. She was a medical records clerk for Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. She enjoyed quilting, writing recipes and sewing.

She married her husband Joseph "Joe" Charles Checkett on May 20, 1981. He survives, other survivors include two children Jennifer Checkett and fiancé Kenneth Jones of Jonesboro, AR., Jonathan Checkett and wife Tara of Corning, AR; two step-children Donna Checkett Farver of Saint Louis, MO., Joe Checkett, Jr., of Arnold, MO.; four brothers Donald Lee Harris of Poplar Bluff, MO., Ronnie Harris of Joplin, MO., Jim Herren of Princeton, TX., Bob Herren of Jamestown, TN.; five sisters Marie Borden of O’Fallon, MO., Noka Clifton of Saint Louis, MO., Thrissie Linthicum of O’Fallon, MO., Helen Blanton of Saint Charles, MO., Joan Moore of Saint Louis, MO.; two grandchildren Gabriel Checkett, Gideon Checkett; several nieces, nephews friends.

She was preceded in death by parents Hubert Cecil and Anna Myrtle (Debord) Herren; her grandparents Soula and Arka Herren, Flem Lee and Mollie Debord.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, march 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Homer Blanton officiating. Burial will follow the services at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
