Sammie Banks

Mr. Sammie Banks, 98, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Five Rivers Medical Center on Pocahontas, AR. Mr. Banks was born in Corning, AR., on March 1, 1920. He was the owner of Sam & Sam’s Products, Inc., in Corning, AR. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

He married his wife of 70 years Mrs. Nona Belle (Magee) Banks on March 5, 1942. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2012.

He is survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents; he was also preceded in death by his sons Mike Banks, Danny Banks and Sammy Banks Jr.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning with Reverend. Carl Thomason officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
