Samuel Tutor

Mr. Samuel Joseph Tutor, 78, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Tutor was born in Moark, AR., on February 5, 1935. He was a welder and straightener for 30 years at Keystone Plating. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Corning, AR.

He was married to his wife of 56 years Patsy Ann (Prince) Tutor on August 1, 1958, she survives. Other survivors include four sons Joe Tutor of Corning, AR., Rick Tutor of Corning, AR., Dale Tutor of Columbia, IL., Wesley Tutor of Poplar Bluff, MO.; two brothers Don Tutor of Knobel, AR., Bill Tutor of Corning, AR.; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ward and Edith (Hodges) Tutor; three brothers Till Tutor, Big Tutor, Lloyd Tutor; four sisters Oneta Jones, Deloris Rice, Novella Treadgill, Helen Pruitt and grandson Brandon Scott Ezzell.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Smith. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
