Mrs. Sarah V. “Dump” Wilson, 94, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at home. Mrs. Wilson was born in Stonewall, AR., on February 15, 1926. She was retired from Johansen Bros. Shoe Factory in Corning. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, yard work, sitting in her swing, watching birds, squirrels, and children. She loved watching the races at local tracks when her grandsons Dakota and Taylor raced.
On December 13, 1947, she married Albert Rufus “Bunch” Wilson in Piggott. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1984.
She is survived by her children Gene Wilson of Brookhaven, MS., Clois Wilson and wife Junko of Brookhaven, MS., Linda Hance of Wilmington, DE., and Jerry Wilson and wife Ursula of Corning, AR.; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Lynn Wilson, parents Johnny and Katie (Hyde) Jetton, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lavern Reed officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
