Scott Roberts

Mr. David Scott Roberts, 53, of Jonesboro, AR., passed from this life into God’s arms on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Jonesboro, AR.

He was born on August 19, 1966 in Poplar Bluff, MO., to Dave and Shirley Roberts of Corning, AR. He graduated from Corning High School in 1984 where he played football and baseball. Over the years he worked for Center Point Energy and most recently in the meat department at Kroger in Jonesboro. He loved to cook, go to rock concerts, strum on his guitar and attend ASU football games.

He was preceded into death by a son, Zachary Scott Roberts, paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Dorothy Roberts, maternal grandfather Orie Karnes; three uncles Archie Taylor, JL Williams, Bob Shipman; and an aunt Rita Karnes.

In addition to his parents; survivors include daughter Rachel Lauren Roberts of Jonesboro, AR.; sister Randi Dianne Roberts of Bella Vista, AR.; maternal grandmother Melda Karnes of Corning, AR.; aunts Betty Taylor, Joan Shipman, Aylene Williams of Corning, AR.; uncle Gary Karnes of Lewisville, TX.; many cousins and friends, and a loving companion Debbie Morgan Roberts.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you spread kindness to a charity of your choice in Scott’s name.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Michael officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
