Sharon Atkinson

Mrs. Sharon Atkinson, 75, of Peach Orchard, AR., passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Walnut Ridge, AR., on August 16, 1943. She was retired from Delaplaine Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She married her husband of 49 years Mr. Bobby Lynn Atkinson on February 10, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2011.

Survivors include her daughter Sherry and husband Kenneth Rainwater of Peach Orchard, AR.; brothers Paul Andrews of Lucerne Valley, CA., Jim Andrews and wife Betty of Ravenden Springs, AR., Michael Walker and wife Sue of Lexington, NC.; sister Sandy Zerr of O’Fallon, MO.; grandchildren B.J., Lindsey and Reicken Rainwater; great-grandchild Oaklynn Cole Lindsey.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Roy and Faye (Long) Andrews and sister Carol Wrenfro.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Drew Pearson officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pirtle Cemetery, in Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
